literacy remediation:
Literacy remediation refers to the process of helping children who have difficulty with reading and spelling. Using the Orton-Gillingham methodology, we target and individualize instruction per child to meet them where they are. We can provide intervention at all ages, and we are certified to support specific challenges such as dyslexia.
reading comprehension:
We work closely with learners to enhance their reading comprehension skills, which include strategies like summarization, making inferences, critical thinking and understand the author's intent. This personalized approach helps students develop a deeper understanding of the material they read, leading to improved academic performance and broader literacy skills.
writing skills:
Writing skills tutoring provides the learner with a personalized focus on enhancing their ability to communicate effectively through written language. Skills that are taught and reinforced include parts of speech, sentence structure, sentence variety, capitalization, punctuation, brainstorming, outlining, composition and organization of paragraphs and essays.
executive functioning:
Executive function tutoring is a specialized form of education designed to help individuals improve their cognitive and organizational skills. It focuses on developing key skills such as organization, time management, planning, task initiation, goal setting and self-regulation.
